Aims and Scope of the Journal
The biannual International Political Economy Studies has been established to focus on ​​political economy areas in the education and research process, especially in Iran and the Middle East. The editorial board of the journal includes experts in the fields of economics, politics, and international relations. The approach to policymaking is based on professional ethics, the dissemination of indigenous knowledge and insights into the field of political economy, with a problem-solving approach by focusing on achieving the following goals:
- Promoting interdisciplinary knowledge of political economy disciplines in the fields of development studies, global political economy, globalization, regionalism, domestic political economy, urban political economy, government /market interaction, theorizing Iranian Islamic Model of Progress, the political economy of energy, and other intertwined economic-political-cultural issues
- The efficiency of the political system of Iran;
- Understanding the processes and events of national and international political economy;
- Indigenous Iranian-Islamic theorizing in the field of political economy;
-Criticizing and examining the theories and conceptual frameworks in the mentioned field;
- Experimental studies with the orientation to refine and expand existing concepts;
- Experimental studies with the readjustment and re-formulation of existing theories, conceptualization, and modern theorizing in the aforementioned areas;
- The development of new themes and propositions in the field of political economy and their processing with the aim of helping theoretical and empirical understanding; and
- Elucidating the political economy challenges and opportunities for discussion in the Islamic Revolution in the new geometry of global power.
This journal also publishes scientific research articles.
